The biggest hurdle in finding a job in UX as an entry-level designer is the experience hurdle; to gain experience you must have done work, but to find work, you must have demonstrated the experience. Before I was hired at Gaslight, I did some consultation and mockup work for this non-profit that wanted to build a children-focused mental health platform.
